Why It Matters

The League of Women Voters, who has a long history of hosting and moderating candidate forums, invites all candidates running for a specific office to join in. A candidate’s participation in a forum before an election is a key indicator of whether they will listen to all their future constituents afterward.

What better way to learn about candidates and their positions than through questions asked by you and your neighbors? Don’t let candidates go missing! Our communities deserve full participation so that all voters can make informed decisions at the ballot box. 

The League of Women Voters neither supports nor opposes any political party or candidate.

Request or Co-sponsor a Forum 

The League of Women Voters of Ozaukee & Washington Counties will organize and conduct candidate forums for contested races, upon request of a candidate, individual or group in Ozaukee County. Forums follow the approved Candidate Forum Guidelines of the League of Women Voters of OzWa and are led by a trained League Moderator. 

Please contact Voter Services at least six weeks prior to the election, if you would like the League to organize a forum or would like to co-sponsor a forum with the League.
